On March 17th, the Economic and Workforce Development Department leadership team joined Councilmember Tim McOsker, Managed Career Solutions Executive Director Philip Starr, LA Harbor College President Dr. Luis Dorado, and a host of workforce development partners to celebrate the grand opening of two pivotal centers now co-located at LA Harbor College. The establishment of these centers marks a significant milestone for the harbor community, offering residents streamlined access to vital resources such as employment assistance, educational support, and pathways to sustainable, high-quality careers—all within a single, accessible location.

Managed Career Solutions leads operations at both centers, providing transformative opportunities for individuals across a wide range of backgrounds. The services cater to youth, Veterans, dislocated workers, individuals aged 55 and older, and aspiring entrepreneurs, with the aim of fostering workforce development and educational advancement.

The opening of these centers represents a meaningful step forward in strengthening the harbor community by ensuring equitable access to essential tools for personal and professional growth.
