The Community Investment Department (CID)

On July 1, 2026, the Economic & Workforce Development Department became part of the Community Investment Department, along with the Community Investment for Families, Youth Development, and Aging Departments. By bringing programs together under one department, CID strengthens support for youth, families, older adults, job seekers, workers, and businesses, helping create more opportunities for communities across Los Angeles.

Legacy Business Program

The Legacy Business Program is designed to support the visibility, patronage, and sustainability of deep-rooted small businesses by fostering economic empowerment through tangible benefits such as digital marketing, modern B2C, and access to capital and grants.
