If you have been laid off, furloughed, or suffered reduced hours, EWDD's Rapid Response Team is here to help you. They are providing virtual orientations to guide you through all available resources, including how to apply for Unemployment Insurance (UI) through CA EDD and health insurance.

The Economic & Workforce Development Department currently operates 14 WorkSource Centers and 2 portals located throughout the City of Los Angeles. The centers act as your personal employment agency and our services are always FREE.

We have thousands of employment postings in a variety of fields. Our qualified staff can help you develop a resume and guidance to find the job that is right for you. Each center has a Job Resource Area where you can use:
  • telephones & fax services
  • copiers, computers & printers
  • search the internet & utilize online job boards
  • post your resume online
If you seek a more satisfying career than your current path or a higher-paying track, WorkSource will put its resources to work for you. WorkSource Centers provide Job Training Programs and Career Building Services for high-demand, high-salary jobs in growing industries.

WorkSource Centers also offer translation services in a variety of languages commonly spoken within Los Angeles, as well as assistance with childcare or bus passes to those who qualify.
